Alex Ruthven - presenter profile
During my A levels I joined a tiny station in Tettenhall called Kicfm. This was my first radio experience and from that day I knew this was what I wanted to do. My stint at Kic only lasted until the Christmas but I soon moved to WCR.
I completed my demo for the big bosses in hope I would find regular work with WCR. I began a 2 hour show on Fridays and after 1 week was offered cover work at weekends and drive time three days a week. I was thankful to take part in an outside broadcast with BBC WM and for being interviewed by Phil Jupitus from his time with BBC 6 music.
After a long stay at WCR I ventured off to Manchester for University where I finished an HND in Media and Performance, also taking part in student station Shock Radio. I have achieved numerous work experiences with The Wolf, Key 103 and BRMB.
A few years have passed where I have taken part in other projects and now find myself back in my homeland of Staffordshire.
